Airy crust, soft centre, the best ingredients. 48 to 72 hours of dough rest, Fior di Latte instead of industrial mozzarella – pizza as real craft, honest and made with love.

Pesce Fresh fish of the day
Carinthian char, sea bass, mussels and calamari – prepared Mediterranean style with herbs, lemon and Carinthian pumpkin-seed oil. Fish is no afterthought here, but a real mainstay.

Pasta Homemade
From spaghetti alle vongole to tagliatelle al ragù – egg pasta, good ingredients and patience. Seasonal and freshly prepared every day.

What's in season right now
Our menu follows the ingredients, not the calendar. In June that means Carinthian char, the first strawberries, burrata with pumpkin-seed oil and fresh mussels – a little different every month, so there is always a reason to come back.

Fior di Latte instead of industrial mozzarella. San Marzano tomatoes as the base. Good olive oil to finish.

In summer the terrace is one of the best reasons for con amore: pizza, fish, pasta and aperitivo with a view of the Kreuzbergl pond – calm, airy and close to the water.

Quietly located – yet right in Klagenfurt
The Kreuzbergl is a calm local recreation area – joggers, walkers, families. Very close to the city centre, and the Kreuzbergl pond lies right outside our door. There is parking right in front. We don't have a central square or a pedestrian zone. What we do have: quiet, greenery and a shady terrace by the water.
We are not directly on Lake Wörthersee, but at the Kreuzbergl pond – a few minutes from the centre, yet noticeably away from the bustle. That is exactly what makes the difference.
The Fischerwirt has belonged to the Kreuzbergl for many years. About three years ago we took the location over as con amore and gave it a Mediterranean direction.

Authentic Italian restaurant despite the German name. The staff are actual Italians – swift, friendly service, nicely plated dishes and generous portions. The pizzas are huge, the prices absolutely commensurate with the quality. Highly recommended.
The pizza was simply fantastic and the live DJ created a very special atmosphere. An evening you don't forget quickly – we will definitely come back.

When is Fischerwirt con amore open?
We are open daily – no closing day. Hot kitchen: Monday to Thursday 11:30–14:00 and 17:00–21:30, Friday and Saturday continuously 11:30–21:30, Sundays and public holidays continuously 11:30–21:00. Between 14:00 and 17:00 (Mon–Thu) we serve drinks and coffee – the restaurant stays open.
Is there parking?
Yes, there is parking directly in front of the restaurant and nearby. Our quiet location at the Kreuzbergl makes us easy to reach, especially at lunchtime.
Do you offer a lunch menu?
Yes. Monday to Friday we serve a lunch menu for €13.50: pasta or pizza of the day with a small salad. Short on time? You're welcome to pre-order by phone.
