Collect it fresh instead of having it delivered lukewarm
We deliberately don't run our own delivery service and we're not on any delivery app. The reason is simple: what should end up on your plate comes fresh from the kitchen – and it only stays that way if the journey is short. A pizza that rides around the city in a warming box for twenty minutes is no longer the same pizza that just came out of the oven. That's why we do pick-up: you order ahead, we start when it suits, and you take it home oven-warm.
Then there's the honest price. On the delivery platforms you often end up paying a quarter more – service fee, delivery fee, marked-up dish prices, a pre-set tip. When you pick up, you pay exactly what's on the menu. No surcharge, no platform in between, no algorithm deciding how long your food is on the road. You collect it yourself – which is why the price is right and the food is hot.
Klagenfurt is small enough that the drive to the Kreuzbergl is usually just a few minutes. Exactly the time in which a freshly baked pizza is still fresh. We pack everything so it survives the short trip well: pizza in the box, pasta and fish in sealed containers, antipasti and dolci kept separate so nothing gets jumbled. Unpack at home – and it tastes just like it does at our table.

There's parking right in front – pull up, collect, done. We've packed everything securely for transport and kept it warm. You pay on the spot, cash or card.

Many people think of pizza alone when they hear "Italian to take away". With us it's different: almost the whole menu goes in the box too. You don't have to go without anything at home that you'd otherwise order at our table.

Short on time at lunch? The lunch menu (Mo–Fr, pasta or pizza of the day with salad for € 13,50) is available to take away too. Best to pre-order quickly by phone, then it's ready when you drop by on your break.

When is Fischerwirt con amore open?
We are open daily – no closing day. Hot kitchen: Monday to Thursday 11:30–14:00 and 17:00–21:30, Friday and Saturday continuously 11:30–21:30, Sundays and public holidays continuously 11:30–21:00. Between 14:00 and 17:00 (Mon–Thu) we serve drinks and coffee – the restaurant stays open.
